Technical characteristics


Tin bronzes are typically used in applications which demand materials with a high resistance to heavy loads at low speeds. They are strong, hard and have excellent casting and machining properties at a very reasonable cost.

c For continuous and centrifugal cast pieces, the minimum content of tin in the ingots must be 10.7% and of the cast pieces 10.5% and the maximum content of copper for ingots and for the cast pieces 89.0%.
d For sand cast pieces, for non load bearing applications, the phosphorous can be restricted to a maximum of 0.15.
